Journeys Hospice
Serving the greater Boise area of the Treasure
Valley and beyond
"You folks made it so much
easier to care for Mom. Every night when I came home from work,
Dad would just rave about your kindness, help, and performance.
We cannot thank you enough."

Hospice is a health care choice.
No one has ever said dying is easy. But, for those dying
from a terminal illness, and for their families, Hospice
has brought new hope and meaning.
Hospice is a specialized health care program that
emphasizes the management of pain and other symptoms.
|
The mission of Journeys Hospice is to provide
comprehensive coordinated care to individuals with
life-limiting illnesses and to their families throughout
the greater Boise
area of the Treasure Valley.
It is the role of Hospice to maintain the patient's
dignity, serve their needs emotionally, physically, and
spiritually to the highest degree possible and feasible,
and to lend both moral and physical support to the family.
Including Hospice
care in the dying process is to be assured of having
strong and caring support. |
 |
 |
Because the care needs of a dying patient include more
than the medical treatment of a disease, a team approach
is taken in Hospice care.
Each team member has a role to play to address the
physical, emotional, and spirital needs of patients and
their families and care givers.
The Journeys team consists of nurses, bath aides, social
workers, chaplains, bereavement care, volunteers, and a
medical director.
